Early March, the final stage of the roofing work is reached on Budapest’s new iconic building that we construct in cooperation with KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó.
The facility in Népliget with a capacity of nearly 20,000 visitors will accommodate the 2022 European Men's Handball Championship co-organized by Hungary and Slovakia, and later on, a number of other events, too.
The capacity and technical solutions allow the multifunctional sports hall to lodge large-scale Hungarian and international sports events (like handball, basketball, ice hockey, futsal, and other mass sports matches), concerts and other events with tens of thousands of attendants.
By means of our professional steel structure assembly technology, we have applied unique solutions while constructing the prominent facility.
For an optimal realisation, the nearly 115-meter-long 3D trust structure the anchoring points of which rest on buttresses are made of three parts.
At the support connections, 30 m high temporary scaffolds have been erected and several times relocated with the assembly works progressing. To provide for the seamlessness of the monumental construction, each support unit is mounted and moved on a mounting stand to the site where they are lifted and placed into position.
As soon as the reinforced concrete structure is finished on the site used as entryway, the assembly of the roof steel structure will be completed.
